Your Visit

DEAR VISITORS, THE SAMURAI MUSEUM IS MOVING AND CURRENTLY CLOSED.

Unfortunately, no visits are possible until the construction work is completed.

The former ‘Samurai Art Museum’ in Dahlem will now house the Research Centre of the Peter Janssen Collection.

The ‘Samurai Museum Berlin’ will open at its new location in Berlin Mitte in early 2022.

The presentation of the most comprehensive and renowned Janssen Collection on the subject of the samurai offers the opportunity to experience this fascinating era of Japanese history in an entirely new form. From original historical objects to contemporary perspectives, immersive technology (virtual reality) will make it possible to discover the world of the samurai. As soon as the concrete opening date is defined, we will announce it.

We look forward to welcoming you soon at Auguststraße 68 / Berlin Mitte!
